Real Life Tools

How do you make a workplace  “productivity tool” relevant to busy parents?

It’s not about doing more. It’s about making sure that everything they are already doing runs a little more smoothly.

Streaming video:Using Office at home isn't that different from using it at work. When an expense pops up, it gets added to the budget in Excel and when you've got a presentation on a boring subject, you add a little pizazz with Powerpoint. Directed by Aaron Ruell.

Print:
We produced over 20 print ads for this campaign, with multiple casting options for global markets. Here are a few of them. Shot with real families—a challenging, but worthwhile, feat.

Demo Banners:
There are times when an accomplishment calls for more than a sticker chart. This rich media unit allowed users to create a customized certificate using an abbreviated version of the new Office features, then print it directly from the banner. Additional Rich Media banners allowed users to create a greeting card and a personal business card.

Simple Banners:
Featured various home projects that could be tackled with Office (cards, budgets, newsletters, etc.) and showcased the templates and stylesheets that could be applied to make each project something special.

Site:
Featured downloadable templates and demos for home projects that could benefit from Office (budgets, cards, homework assignments). The site was built using AJAX (that’s code for early HTML 5) to allow for fluid menu animation without the use of Flash (a work-around necessary to meet Microsoft build guidelines).

Influencers:
Campaign extended beyond traditional paid media and was pushed through popular bloggers and online parenting communities.
